P.I.F.T. (Pacific Islanders in Film & Television) is an association of Pacific islands practitioners in film and television based in Aotearoa which officially established in November 2015.
The goals of PIFT are simple; to act as a networking mechanism for practitioners, to help build capacity in the industry of and for practitioners, and to act as a bridge between practitioners, producers, governmental interests and other relevant organisations. The 2017/2018 Board is – Ali Cowley, Lisa Taouma, Louisa Opetaia, Miliama Setefano, Yolande Ah Chong and Aaron Taouma. The board also retains a link to previous board members as the PIFT advisory. This includes; Sima Urale, Stan Wolfgramm, Tony Fuemana and Simone Fa’alogo.
