Deadline for submission of applications – 4pm, 11th February 2019
NZ on Air is calling for scripted proposals from Pasifika content makers with the aim of extending the range of Pacific and Asian storytelling available to New Zealand audiences. The scripted content could be anything from a mini-series and webseries to high end pilot but it must be a minimum of 30 minutes of content and fit into a $300K-$750 budget. The projects must be led or co-lead by key creatives of pacific decent and you should have a producer, director and writer attached. You do not have to have a producer fully attached at the time of your application but you should be in conversation with producers and have one attached by the time of the workshop (April 6 & 7).
If you are one of 6-8 shortlisted projects, you will be awarded a place on our development programme tailored for you and your project. Which includes a two-day workshop and follow-up mentoring to support the development of your project prior to submission for production funding. You do not need a platform attached to send a proposal to NZ On Air, and the development workshop will help facilitate these connections.
