Public voting begins in May. Learn more

This is a nationwide search for a brand new series for TVNZ Shorts, supported by New Zealand on Air. Comedy or drama, factual or reality – if your idea could be turned into a series then we want to see it. The winning series will receive $100k funding to bring their show to life!

Anybody can enter – as long as you and your entry meet the criteria, you’re good to go.

To enter, you’ll need to submit your pilot episode and a brief document including an overview of your web series and a brief series synopsis of the direction your content will take.

Entries will be open until Friday 31 March, then a panel of industry experts will review the entries and shortlist their favourites.

The panel – who will be announced in January – includes directors, producers, actors and short form content creators. Each will bring their own flavour to the shortlisting process!

Then it’s over to New Zealand to choose the winner – all the shortlisted entries will be available to watch on our site and viewers can vote for their favourite. The one with the most votes wins!

• Entries Open – Monday 16 January
• Entries close – Friday 31 March
• Shortlisting – In April
• Voting – In May
• Winner announced – 31 May
