From humble beginnings the Pasifika Film Fest (PFF) has grown from its first year (2013) in a warehouse in Sydney. It is now actively engaging with a wider pool of Pasefika practitioners and it’s great to see the number of films each year grow.
PFF brings stories from across the Pacific region to Sydney audiences. The festival aims to encourage Sydney’s Pacific community to connect with their cultural heritage through visual arts and storytelling, while also sharing the culture with the wider community.
PFF also holds workshops, offers scholarships and is involved in other educational opportunities involving film for its communities. Check out their website for more.
Pasifika Film Fest 2016 will be coming to you from Parramatta and Campbelltown as well as Loganholme and Garden City in Brisbane.
