Special Screening and Q & A of O LE TULAFALE (THE ORATOR) | Pift Pacific Islanders in Film & TV

Special free screening of O LE TULAFALE (THE ORATOR), followed by a Q&A panel session with director Tusi Tamasese, producer Catherine Fitzgerald and members of the cast. The event will be moderated by filmmaker Sima Urale. 

O LE TULAFALE (THE ORATOR)

The first truly Samoan feature film, O LE TULAFALE tells the story of Saili, a little person and taro farmer whose life is turned upside down when he is denied his father’s chiefly status and his family plantation is threatened. 

Where: Ngā Tohu o Uenuku (Mangere Arts Centre), Corner Bader Drive and Orly Avenue, Mangere, Auckland 2022.

When: Friday, 24th March at 12.00pm.
Session: Includes film screening, refreshments, and 20 minute Q&A.
Run time: Film and Q&A will be finished by approximately 2.45pm

Please arrive at 11.45am for refreshments and to ensure everyone is seated before the film starts.

 

The film has an M rating for violence and offensive language.
